The First Game Pass Titles of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

In numerous discussions, enthusiasts continue to ring the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content about PlayStation unprecedentedly. Last year proved to be complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. However, judging purely by the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox remains determined to draw people in with compelling titles on its premier subscription.

The Available Now Titles

The duo of games you can play right now at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass soon that's deserving of attention.

Upcoming Headline Games

Come mid-January, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that refreshes typical Ubisoft design with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of terror and combat."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

But even the smaller games coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that's a blast to play, drops on Jan. 7th — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.

A Solid, Curated Lineup

All in all, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, nor are they first-party juggernauts that validate the subscription by themselves. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — rendering them perfect candidates to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Be prepared to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
